VODA was born from a deeply personal conviction — that the people who trust you with their eyes deserve something more than a clipboard and a ten-minute exam.
As parents, we built this practice with the values we live by at home: unhurried attention, genuine warmth, and a commitment to care that follows you long after you leave the chair. What started as a vision has become a community.
Over a year in, we've had the privilege of caring for families, children, and individuals across Suwanee and beyond — many of whom found us searching for something they couldn't find anywhere else in North Georgia.
This is not a typical optometry office. Welcome to VODA.

Dr. Som I Kwon
Founder of VODA Eyecare
I’ve built VODA because I believe eye care can be — and should be — a genuinely beautiful experience.
Not just visually, though every detail of this space was chosen with intention. Beautiful in how it feels to be listened to. To have someone take the time to explain what they see, in language that actually makes sense. To leave knowing that your vision is in good hands.
I trained with a focus on dry eye, myopia management, and ocular disease because I wanted to offer care that goes beyond updating a prescription. When a child’s myopia is progressing, there may be options to help slow that progression. When dry-eye symptoms continue despite over-the-counter drops, a detailed ocular-surface evaluation can help identify contributing factors and guide treatment. Bringing that level of thoughtful, specialized care to this community is something I take seriously.
VODA is where I practice the way I always believed medicine should be practiced — with precision, patience, and a little extra warmth.

Appointments are strongly encouraged so we can reserve the appropriate time and testing for your visit. Same-day availability may occasionally be possible. Please call us before coming in so our team can assist you.

We’re open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
We’re closed on Sundays and Mondays to rest and recharge — just like your eyes should. -
