Our Services

At VODA, every service is delivered with the same standard: thorough, unhurried, and tailored entirely to you. We've invested in technology and training that most practices in North Georgia simply don't offer — because you deserve more than the minimum.

  • Thorough evaluations of eye health and vision.

    • Diabetic eye exams: Specialized assessments for patients with diabetes to monitor and protect ocular health.

    • Plaquenil eye exams: Focused screenings for patients on Plaquenil to detect early signs of retinal toxicity.

    • Cataract evaluations: Monitoring and management of cataracts and their impact on vision.

    • Glaucoma screenings: In-depth testing to detect, monitor, and manage intraocular pressure and optic nerve health.

  • Customized fitting of soft contact lenses for optimal comfort and vision correction.

    • Single Vision: Soft contact lenses designed for simple vision correction.

    • Astigmatism: Soft contact lenses tailored to correct astigmatism for clear vision.

    • Multifocal: Soft contact lenses providing clear vision at various distances.

    • Mono-Focal: Soft contact lenses correcting vision for a single focal point.

  • Dry Eye Services

Dry eye disease is one of the most under-treated conditions in optometry — and one of the areas we've invested in most deeply.

VODA is one of the few practices in North Georgia offering both OptiLight IPL and TriLIFT therapy: two clinically proven, in-office treatments that address dry eye at its source rather than masking symptoms with drops. We begin every case with a diagnostic evaluation using the Bruder Ocular Surface Analyzer — because the right treatment starts with the right diagnosis. We identify whether your symptoms stem from tear film instability, meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), or lid laxity before recommending a customized treatment plan.

    • OptiLight IPL Therapy: The first FDA-approved IPL treatment for dry eye. It targets periorbital inflammation and restores meibomian gland function for long-term tear film stability.

    • OptiLIFT™ (Blink Optimization): Non-invasive Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMSt) and Radiofrequency (RF) therapy designed to tone periorbital musculature and improve lid apposition—addressing the mechanical and structural contributors to dry eye at their source.

      • Disclaimer: These treatments are performed to improve functional ocular health and lid mechanics.

    • Prescription Therapy: Management of FDA-approved anti-inflammatory treatments—such as Restasis®, Cequa®, and Xiidra®—integrated into your individualized ocular surface protocol.

    • Punctal Occlusion: A clinical procedure to conserve natural tears by reducing drainage, effectively treating aqueous-deficient dry eye.

  • Myopia is not just a glasses prescription — it's a progressive disease. And in a region where dedicated myopia management clinics are nearly impossible to find, VODA Eyecare fills that gap.

Our clinic is built around the gold standard: cycloplegic refraction and axial length measurement at every visit, with evidence-based treatment options including Essilor Stellest® lenses, MiSight® contact lenses, and low-dose atropine. We don't guess. We measure, monitor, and intervene — during the years it matters most.

Every patient begins with a comprehensive evaluation including cycloplegic refraction and axial length measurement — the gold standard metric for monitoring myopia progression and treatment response.

    • Essilor Stellest® Lenses Spectacle lenses using H.A.L.T. technology shown to slow myopia progression by an average of 67% in clinical trials. Ideal for children not yet ready for contact lens wear.

    • CooperVision MiSight® 1 day The first and only FDA-approved soft contact lens for myopia management. Daily disposable with ActivControl® Technology — clinically proven to slow progression by 59% and axial elongation by 52%.

    • Low-Dose Atropine A well-studied pharmaceutical option — used alone or in combination with optical therapies — for patients with faster-progressing myopia. Prescribed and monitored as part of a supervised protocol.

    • Lifestyle Counseling Outdoor time, near work habits, and screen exposure all influence myopia progression. We provide practical, evidence-based guidance to support every treatment plan at home.

  • Fast and professional treatment for eye emergencies, including Red Eye and other urgent conditions.
